All jabbed up…

This post has taken a little while to write (over 24 hours) as i am typing one handed… Who would have thought my arm could ache for so long after one little injection? (Hep A+B) Apparently Friedi and i will be back to the doctors again to re-enact those couple of hours of fun in 4 weeks time.

In other exciting news (for us at least) we picked up the tickets on Friday. This trip is now starting to feel very real! :-)

p.s. it isnt/wasnt that bad. I am just a complete sissy when it comes to needles!

Hello World! – Round the World Flights booked!

Welcome to One Man Went To Mow, the online blog of me, Peter Anderson.

To kick things off, I just want to announce that Friedi and I booked our Round the World (or at least half way…) tickets today! A quick trip to the local STA Travel office (here in Leipzig) was all it took to book a once in a lifetime experience.

So the agenda looks something like this…

10.01.09 – London – Madrid 17:40 – 20:55
11.01.09 – Madrid – Quito 00:05 – 05:25

then the (rough) plan is
Equador -> Peru -> Bolivia -> Argentina -> 19.04.09 – Buenos Aires- Aukland 23:55 – 04:35

Then there are several options (dependant on travel fatigue)

1) Continue the trip through S.E Asia for another few months. Ending back in Europe sometime in the summer.
2) Travel around NZ, Australia, and possibly Fiji for a couple of month and then head back home.
3) Hang around in NZ/Australia for a little while.
4) Fly straight home. Understandably we are both pretty excited right now. Time to start looking into getting Visas, injections (eek!), travel insurance etc.

Over and Out.
Pete.
