27 hours later than planned…

… and we have finally arrived in Quito. Air Comet lived up to their reputation for tardiness and managed to miss our connecting flight in Madrid meaning we had to spend the night in Spain. They did put us up in reportedly the largest hotel in Europe (can cater for 7000), and it will probably be one of the nicest hotels we stay in all trip ;) .

Our spirits remain high, and we have just had a great first day in Quito. Will put some photos online when we stay somewhere with wireless internet.

    Congrats! Might be a good introduction to South American speed or what they think being ontime means :-)

    Nonetheless, enjoy your adventure and do NOT forget to name and label your pictures *nudge nudge*
