Incentives that have incentivised me…

There are hundreds of affiliate incentives around this Christmas, coming in all different shapes and sizes. Here are the 2 that have worked best for me…

The best incentive for me this year (so far) has been the Red Letter Days incredible affiliate incentive. It has already been talked about, and you can find more information over at the A4uforum, but essentially it is an incentive with guaranteed prizes! If you reach the achievable sales levels then you get to pick from some pretty nice prizes! Last year i made a few sales for Red Letter Days, just about enough to hit the first target), so this year i decided to really go for it. With the help of Joshna (one of 2 great account managers!) i have really tried to give Red Letter Days a push. I have had a unique landing page built, unique creative created, i have kept Red Letter Days on one of my homepages for the whole of November (and probably will for the whole of December), and i have added them to several of my newsletters! And all the extra work has payed off! At the moment it looks like i have hit the second prize tier (which was my aim for the whole incentive) and now i have an outside chance of reaching the third tier!
Summary: This incentive worked a treat! The guarantee of prizes has made me spend alot more of my time promoting Red Letter Days this Christmas, and i have had a very enjoyable time doing it!

The other Christmas incentive that has really worked for me is the Linkshare Christmas Incentive. Linkshare is a network that i haven’t worked too closely with before, but thanks to this incentive i am now signed up to a whole load of new programs and have many more of linkshare links on my sites.

Once again there are different targets to reach, but this time it is points rather than sales targets. There are a number of ways to pick up points, most of which are fairly easy for a new affiliate. They also have a nice little points calculator to see how you are getting on.

Summary: Whilst this is a fairly standard way to incentivise affiliates, i feel that it has been implemented extremely well! The points checker is great, because it gives you that little push to go for the next target. It has worked for me, as i am now signed up to more programs and have more Linkshare links on my sites!
